Call for Papers—Exposome Science for Equitable Precision Health: Data Integration, Mechanistic Insights, and Policy Translation
The exposome—encompassing the full spectrum of environmental, social, and behavioural exposures across the human lifespan—represents a transformative framework for understanding human health and disease. Unlike traditional environmental health research limited to single pollutants, exposome science embraces complexity: it captures how multiple exposures interact, how they evolve across life stages, and how they intersect with biological responses to shape health outcomes. As technological innovations in environmental sensing, high-dimensional data analytics, and life-course epidemiology advance, the potential to translate exposome insights into equitable precision health strategies—tailored to individual and population needs—has never been greater. Bridging these scientific breakthroughs with equity-driven policy action is critical to addressing health disparities and advancing sustainable health planning globally.
The Journal of Exposome and Human Health (JEHH) is pleased to announce this Special Issue: “Exposome Science for Equitable Precision Health: Data Integration, Mechanistic Insights, and Policy Translation”. Aligned with JEHH’s core mission to advance holistic exposome science and its biological, clinical, and policy implications, this thematic focus invites rigorous, interdisciplinary research that unpacks the complex interactions between exposures, biology, and health—while emphasizing translation to equitable, actionable solutions. We seek contributions that leverage data-intensive, systems-level approaches to drive progress in exposome science and its application to precision health and public policy.
Researchers, clinicians, epidemiologists, data scientists, policy experts, and practitioners from environmental health, public health, epidemiology, bioinformatics, social sciences, and related fields are invited to submit original research articles, systematic reviews, and perspective pieces.
